One Day Parent & Caregiver Retreat @ Camp Barnabas

Janely’s Hope invites parents and primary caregivers of individuals with complex medical needs and/ or disabilities to a one-day retreat at Camp Barnabas designed to rejuvenate your body, restore your spirit, and connect you God yourself and others in a similar journey.
This retreat is intentionally created for parents, primary caregivers, including single parents, who pour into others every day and rarely have time to rest themselves. Design your own experience at Camp Barnabas at a pace that fits your needs, while also learning about resources available to support you and your family.
Registration: There is a $10 registration fee per person. Childcare is not available at this time.

Together We Picnic Recap

Thanks to generous support - we were able to sponsor all the beverages for 100s of attendees and cover the attendance for 4 families, or 20 individuals. Each one of these families have a child with complex medical needs and/or disabilities.

We had the privilege of praying at the event, praying over children with upcoming major surgeries or really difficult seizure disorders, and spreading the word about Janely's Hope.

Several of our volunteers served at the event, helping with the activities. This event was a fundraiser for two other nonprofits that serve our community by raising money for wheel-chair adapted vans.

We provided an "accessible changing tent" so children with disabilities of all sizes could have their diapers changed and enjoy and attend the event.

We provided 2 cooling tents to support children who struggle to regulate their temperature.

We passed out calming, prayer breath cards to many individuals and families who have a child with complex medical needs and/or disabilities.

Together We Picnic!
ACCESSIBLE FAMILY EVENT.....Janely's Hope is coming beside two other local non-profits to make an event accessible for all abilities and support the community of families who have a child with a disability or complex medical needs. We will have a table at the event with a prayer team available to lift needs up to Jesus on your behalf. We would love to see you there to support these families and have some fun!!

Where: Northeast Community Park
When: Sept. 13th from 11am - 2pm
What: Family Event and Fundraiser by enGage Mobility and A Bed For Izzy to raise funds for wheel-chair adapted vans and sleep safe beds.
Food: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and Cold Drinks
Fesitivites: Live Music, Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Make your own Hat Bar and more

Trivia Night, Sat. June 28th, 2025
We are in awe of God! Trivia Night was a huge success!! We witnessed so much generosity of heart, hard work, time and finances among our volunteers...and even guests that pitched in to tear down the event! If you are a parent of a child who has complex medical needs and disabilities, know that people care and want to serve, support, encourage and strengthen you...and they proved it Saturday! So many want to come behind Janely's Hope to support the families we serve! We cannot wait to see what GOD does! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everyone who gave, attended and served!! We had a wonderful time!!! We saw Janely's life honored and remembered so well! We saw God glorified! We witness fun being had and people being encouraged and so much more!

Come celebrate the reveal of Janely's Hope non-profit organization and have some family friendly fun! Sitting with a team of anywhere from 2, up to 6 people is an option - please make sure to enter your "team name" when you purchase your ticket so we can ensure that your team is sitting together. Snacks and beverages will be served! Live music between rounds, yay!!
Doors open at 3:30pm - Trivia fun begins at 4pm!!
To make this event adapted for all, we will have a quiet room, an accessible changing room for children of all sizes, and a "germ-safe zone" available to you. Please let us know what you need in the questions when you purchase the ticket. If you or someone with you has a need that we have not anticipated, please email us to let us know so we can do our best to meet that need ahead of time! We can't wait to share what we have been up to!!
