DREAM
PROJECTS
We are excited to share here the projects we dream of doing in the near future! We would love to have your help and partnership through your giving, volunteering and/or praying for us!

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS
Janely's Hope plans to create and film videos of Moms and/or Dads discussing important, relevant topics. We envision experienced parents of a child who has complex medical needs and/or disabilities sitting around a table discussing topics, sharing challenges, what worked and what did not work on specific and relevant topics. We also look forward to parents sharing how their relationship and faith in Jesus helped them in their unique journey.

ADAPTED BOOK FOR CVI
Sweet, magical books on friendship that are adapted for Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) are few and far between. Janely's amazing vision teacher and Speech and Language Pathologist wrote this beautiful story for Janely. Each page has movement and sparkle and is adapted for CVI. We hope children everywhere can experience the wonder of being a child by having this book and enjoying the beautiful story. We plan to publish this book ourselves due to the amount of publishers who have turned us down because of production costs. If you are interested in volunteering to help us make these books by hand please email me at shawna@janelyshope.com. Volunteer book-making dates to come!

VIDEOS ON MENTAL HEALTH TIPS
Janely's Hope plans to create short, easy-to-access videos on different strategies for managing your mental health. We know that life raising a child who has complex medical problems or disabilities can be fraught with many crises, stress and even trauma. To support Moms and Dads, these videos will teach tips on nervous system regulation and coping skills, integrated with a Christ-centered perspective.

FAMILY EVENTS
Janely's Hope plans to have casual fun events for families who have a child with complex medical problems and/or disabilities. These events will be adapted and catered to their families needs with changing tables to accommodate all sizes, quiet rooms, ramps, etc...We will also work to create as germ-safe a space as possible through: providing masks and sanitizer along with proactive communication about appropriate protocol for immune compromised individuals. We hope all families will feel able to relax, have fun together, feel seen, and know they belong!
